Welcome Swatch Queens,
So it’s that time again, I anxiously waited for my subscriptions to arrive, there’s no better feeling than to rip open and reveal what magical sprinkles have been curated for me this time.
Ipsy’s theme for this month is ” Volume Up” They Challenge Us to FEARLESSLY EXPRESS OURSELVES. This actually inspired me to try something different and be a little revealing and Not So Behind The Scenes. All items in this month’s bag were GREAT, the only thing I would change is the eyeliner’s shade. Please Please send me other colors, I keep leaving the same feedback on this issue. CAN I BE HEARD!!
Items I received from Ipsy
NYX Whipped Fouette in Cocoa Bean – It can be used as a lip and cheek color, very neutral and applies smoothly.
Balm Long Wearing Blush in Full Swing – Just the right shade for me, a hint of color.
Luna Eyeshadow in Jace – OMG Love Love Love this shade, it’s great for everyday use alone or as a transition color. Highly Recommend
Bio Republic Face Masks in Green Tea Detox and Aloe Rescue – I only tried the Green Tea Detox and let me tell you my skin felt reborn and it held the moisture all day, the only thing is be careful when unfolding the mask that you dont tear it, there’s no way of telling how it was folded because of how much product this sheet contains. It has Vitamin E, leave on for 15-20 minutes then remove and massage any left over serum into your skin. Add to your skin care regiment. Since the Aloe Rescue is for After sun exposure I will save this one.
Skone Eyeliner in Black – The packaging says Insanely Intense Tattooed, while it is another black eyeliner I will admit this bad boy holds up to every word, smooth stroke a with a vibrant hue of black, DOES NOT REMOVE EASILY, I literally scrubbed and scrubbed my swatch with micellar water repeadly.
Sephora Play Box theme for this month is ” In a Summer State of Mind” they went back to the draw string bag this month and once again Im not too trilled with what was curated for me. They get a 3 out of 5 from me. I dont need any hair care products because realistically you cant get a good enough review on the product because it’s too damn small and I love what I love, I haven’t came across any hair product that will make me stray away from my AHEM HOLY GRAILS. So please no more hair products!!!
Items I received from Sephora
Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Sheild – It has Broad Spectrum SPF 30, I did notice some blurring on my pores, will continue to use to see if I really do see fewer fine lines.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in K-Dub – I love this name and how pigmented the shade is. Perfect just in time for the Summer.
Tarte Guard 20 by Tarte in Medium – This will be my go to foundation replacement for the Summer, its super light and gives a nice light weight coverage. This is the perfect tinted moisturizer for me it has Broad Spectrum SPF 20 as well. Definitely buying this.
Briogeo Curl Charisma – A rice amino and avocado leave in cream, smells awesome but did not try.
Bumble & Bumble Dont Blow It – I like that it’s a product that strays away from the need to blow dry or flat iron our hair, it’s for a more natural way of wearing your hair which I am all for these days. I did not try.
Alien by Thierry Mugler – I did not like this perfume at all, it’s very old lady-ish.
The first three items I am satisfied with. Sephora Step it Up!!!
Morphe Me by Live Glam theme for this month is “Girls Night In”. I second that notion, what a great way to spend time with your Besties. A great spread of Morphe brushes, fabulous makeup, a little food wouldn’t hurt either.
Items I received from LiveGlam
M444 Brush – Deluxe Definition Blender ( my favorite out the collection )
M518 Brush – Crease Fluff
M496 Brush – Duo Lash Fan ( the tiniest fan brush I’ve ever seen )
M460 Brush – Flat Contour
Live Glam never seem to disappoint me. Highly Recommend YOU JOIN!!!
