What’s Up Swatch Queens,
Is it me or did June fly by??? July is almost a thing of the past as well. As an adult I wish we had longer summers, I rarely get to enjoy myself with the hustle and bustle of everyday. With that being said it’s Monthly Goodie time!! So Imma start off with my Sephora Play Box, such disappointment!! I told you guys that if they didn’t step their ish up I will be cancelling my subscription. And guess what I DID. I even re-took the survey and realized their questionaire isn’t really geared up to personalize your experience with them. It is basically a generalization and they pick what they feel you should get as a whole. Im sorry but I am uniquely different and Im pretty sure others feel the same way about themselves. While I do love the euphoria I feel when I step into a Sephora I do not feel they execute their subscription boxes that well. This month’s Sephora Play theme is Beauty Staycation. Im not a fan of this month’s bag design either, it looks like a picnic table cloth.
Items I Got In This Month’s Box
IT Cosmetics SuperHero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara – Great item but I already own one from a past IPSY bag.
Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment – This is a little jar does wonders, my skin felt so revitalized, a dab of product goes a long way, I love the swirls of black and white product. Great for sensitive skin as well which is a plus for me.
Bare Minerals Gen Nude Matte Lipcolor in Swag – The name is cute, who doesn’t need some SWAG. It’s a mauvey color that starts off as liquid lipstick but dries matte, super lightweight.
Milk Makeup Cooling Water – It is suppose to invigorate and give your face an energized look, not too sure I got a boost of energy but I did get a nice silky smooth luster. I recommend for the under eye region the most. Sephora recommmends you refrigerate for a icy-cool treat. I did not try it.
Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray – This item ultimately made my mind up in regards to cancelling my subscription. I received this in my IPSY bag as well and a conditioner last month from Sephora, I hate hair products. I give mine away I dont even test them out. (( At least with IPSY I can rate the product and request to not receive anymore hair products )).
Atelier Cologne – A blend of Sweet Blood Orange and Bitter Orange peel with hint of Geranium. Its a summer time scent. It’s not my cup of tea.
Overall I am happy with two out of five items, not enough to keep spending money monthly. Farewell Sephora it’s been REAL!!!
This month’s IPSY theme is the much needed R&R we all need from time to time. They partnered with Sanrio and their cute little creation Gudetama, the sleepy cartoon egg who loves to keep it chill. All items curated for me are in unison with the lazy Sunday vibes.
Items In This Month’s Bag
Tarte RainForest Of The Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel – As one of my favorite brands I was excited to receive this item, light fresh scent that leaves your skin feeling super smooth, I used it with my cleansing brush and I love it.
TreStique Mini Concealer Crayon in Bisque – If you remember I have gotten their mini highlight stick, I love their packaging, anything mini is ideal to keep in your makeup bag. Slim enough for easy use and long enough for easy handling.
BellaPierre Banana Setting Powder – I’ve been dying to get my hands on a good banana setting powder so this a plus, lightly scented and super light, will continue testing it out.
Winky Lux Double Matte Whip in Angel Food – This is the perfect shade of Pink, definitely will look into this brand to see what else they offer, it reminds me of Colour PoP’s Ultra Satin Lip in the shade Love Muffin, great for mixing colors together.
Puretem Emulsion – It protects skin of irritation and improves skin clarity with plant extracts and concentrated aloe vera. I am just going to use this as a spot treatment, the areas I break out at and dark spots to see how it improve those problem areas. Will update.
As a bonus IPSY included an advertisement for their Gen Beauty NY event being held at the Javits Center, Hall B during September 23rd and 24th. This is #GIVINGMELIFE, I missed out on the BeautyCon NY event and would really love to attend this.
Last but certainly not least my Live Glam package arrived a day later than usual, hmm??? The envelope felt lighter than usual as well which had me gasping for air as I drew up different scenerios in my mind. I finally ripped it open and dove right in only to pull out EIGHT brushes, YAS I said Eight. The Morphe Gods came down and Blessed us with their Morphe-Awesomeness ( Hallelujah ) in my Madea voice. Proving that big things come in light packages. Their theme for this month is Glam Gala.
Brushes I Received This Month
M168 – Precise Bullet Crease
M207 – Sable Angle Liner
M170-2 – Oval Taklon Lip
M250-2 – Detail Liner
M331 – Jumbo Crease
M173 – Mini Buffer

If you haven’t joined this subscription I don’t know what you’re waiting for. They never seem to disappoint me and the amount of money you save on makeup brushes is even better, you will literally have a collection of makeup brushes for a fraction of the price. For every person you refer that joins you and that person each receive a free brush as well.
As always I am not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned in this post, these are my own opinions on items sent to me as a result of my paid subscriptions.
Until the next one…
BTW any good monthly subscription companies out there you recommend? Please leave a comment I would love your input.
