Thursday morning I woke up to someone I didn’t recognize. My under eyes where swollen and red, certain parts of my face was so dry it looked like drool marks. To top it off my face had a burning sensation. Not sure what caused my skin dilema, but she is like that, I gave extra sensitive combo skin. You can’t look at me too long my face will literally breakout.

I did get a tip from the lovely ladies of therealmakeupcookbook to drink water because swollen eyes are a sign of dehydration. If you aren’t following their blog you should be.

I stopped using any skincare products prior and bought new ones that addressed my issues.

  • La Roche-Posey Toleraine Purifying Foam Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin
  • La Roche-Posey Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Multi-Purpose Balm
  • No7 Hydrating Mineral Water Spray
  • T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel

Ok so I cleanse my face morning and evening with the foam cleanser and slightly patted dry. I then took a cotton pad and poured some witch hazel and further cleansed my face with it as a toner. I DON’T KNOW WHY I STOPPED USING THIS AS MY TONER, it naturally puts back what we strip away without the harshness. I proceeded with spritzing my face with the mineral water, but without letting it dry I applied the Cicaplast balm all over my face. This combo locked in the moisture of the witch hazel and mineral water feeding my dry skin the nutrients it was craving.

As my skin ate up the moisture I reapplied the mineral water to my face followed by the balm throughout the day until the evening where I cleansed and started over. Monday morning mama got new baby skin.

I hope this can be a little beauty hack for you guys as well.
